Hollywood Waxing with Hot Wax, Watch the  Video

Question: What’s the difference between a Hollywood waxing and a Brazilian wax?

Answer: The terms have often been used interchangeably, but there are some differences. Brazilian waxes often leave a small strip, triangle or oval shape piece of hair in the front, while taking all the hair in between all the way to the back by your bottom. On the other hand, a Hollywood Waxing, removes all of the hair, from the front all the way to the back.
So thats the difference then, all off or leave a bit.

When a salon or spa creates their menu of services, you might see these different bikini wax style names listed for a couple of different reasons. First of all, they want you to know generally how much you’re paying for the hair removed. Of course just cleaning up a little bit of hair outside the underwear is going to take more time and product than removing more, or even all of the pubic hair. Therefore, price points vary for these various styles. They don’t want you to be surprised or irritated when you check out and pay your bill if you’re assuming you’re paying a lesser price.

Also, they want to schedule your service correctly and block out the right amount of time for your service. A Hollywood bikini wax takes more time, than perhaps just waxing the bikini line. And instead of you having to explain just exactly where you want hair removed and left when you make the appointment, it makes it easier to simply request a certain style.

Keep in mind that all the techs may not perform all the types of bikini waxes. t some spas a couple of the techs would do Brazilians or specialty waxes and others would not.

While there are a lot of names or styles for bikini waxes, most people determine for themselves how much hair they want left or removed. You don’t need to be locked into any one kind of bikini wax, just go with your personal preference choices.
